Washburn VGA 15 Tweed amp.

Rory Gallagher’s used one of these amps in studio on his album “Fresh Evidence”.

This is not his actual amp, but you can find info on his website in reference to the Washburn VGA 15 Jr amp.

This would be considered the first release based on my research first ones said just VGA 15 and then they changed to Southside Jr. This little combo has great sound will not disappoint through its 6.5″ speaker, everything works as it should with no scratchiness. I thought the amp would sound weak with the small speaker but to my surprise it is has amazing tone range (no wonder Rory used it in the studio). Researching you will also find countless reviews calling this one of the best little combos ever. A lot of the reviews also compare the tone quality to tube amps saying this this little guy is as close as it gets for a solid state.
