The ZOOT Suit SG Gibson is an out of the box design that makes every single one unique… ZOOT suit was a Jazz term from the 1940s and means  extravagant style.  This ZOOT suit Guitar from Gibson certainly lives up to the reputation for both style and sound quality….

I wasn’t sure what to expect from this SG and I was thinking for some reason that it would be voiced towards a warm Jazz tone but no….. This is a Rock Monster!! In standard tuning, it sounds immense and if you drop tune it is truly Subterranean Ear-shattering,  it’s a mobile 6 string Earthquake on steroids!

This example is a 2009 – First year of the production model – and in the most sought after Natural & Black finish, the most popular finish by far. The Body is a laminate of layers of pre-coloured Birch giving the unique finish and individuality and finished in a satin Nitro lacquer so guaranteed to age beautifully!

These were a limited run and because of this, it’s rare to find these for sale especially the 2009 Natural & Black ones… This one is totally original and was owned by a guitar collector who can’t play the guitar so next to no play wear at all kept in it’s original Gibson Soft padded case it is in stunning condition all round.

Quite a heavy guitar it’s not for the faint-hearted. I just know I am going to regret selling this guitar I am having so much fun with it right now!
